I get nostalgic every time my friend Marissa posts a photo on her Instagram.
Her photos capture the beauty of Coachella Valley, CA where I went to college for.
Everything that she photographs brings me back my favorite memories of California.

The sky, desert, the rode trip to Mexicali, and awesome homemade Mexican food..
The city of Los Angeles, beaches, and millions of palm trees...
だだっぴろい空、砂漠の風景、
メキシコへの車での旅、そして最高に美味しい手作りのメキシコ料理。
ロスのビルやビーチ、そして見飽きるくらいにどこにでもあったヤシの木・・・
The valley wasn't quite for college students and I sure did complain a lot about the boringness,
but there I learned to appreciate the nature and simplicity (even though American life style was far from simplicity. Here, I mean by the conservation of the nature comparing to cities like Tokyo and LA).

Traveling to many places means making them special and meaningful to oneself.
Three years ago, I didn't even know the existence of Coachella Valley.
But now the place has got so many memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
様々な場所へ行って帰ってくるということは、
自分にとって特別な場所が増えるということでもある。
３年前は存在すら知らなかったこの街だけど、
今となっては思い出がたーくさん詰まった大切な場所。

I can't wait for the next visit to the windmills and Mt. San Jacinto!
